On March 16, 2011, the Advertising Women of New York held their annual luncheon honoring the Woman of the Year for 2010 at the Hilton Hotel in Midtown, New York City. Hundreds of industry guests and AWNY members were in attendance to honor this year’s award winner, Donna Speciale, President of Investment and Activation atMediaVest.  CPX’s own Ben Turk, Director of Sales; Jamie Gutterman, Director of Sales; Polly Payne, Product Planner/Brand Sales; Ross Cohen, Director of Sales; and Taylor Hall, Marketing Assistant were in attendance. CPX Interactive was not only proud to sponsor and attend the event, but we were fortunate to have the opportunity to speak directly with the guest of honor following the luncheon.

Many industry leaders attended event, most of who were there to speak on Donna’s behalf.  Several of these industry leaders toasted to her amazing success.  The panel included such names as: Ted Herbert, Chairman, NBC Broadcasting; Gail Berman, Co-owner and Founding Partner, BermanBraun; Laura Desmond, CEO, Starcom MediaVest Group; David Levy, President, Ad Sales and Marketing,Turner Entertainment; and Michael Speciale, Account/Media Director, Blaine Warren (and Donna Speciale’s father).

CPX Interactive guests left the luncheon with an inspired voice.  The closing speech given by Ms. Donna Speciale was overwhelmingly moving after she thanked her father who fought back tears of joy when he shared his thoughts about his daughter with the audience.  All of the afternoon’s speakers engraved thought provoking ideas about the future of digital advertising.  After the luncheon ended, CPXers commented on what they felt were the highlights of this event.
